Oracle JInitiator 1.3 was desupported for E-Business Suite environments at the end of July 2009. JInitiator 1.1.8 was desupported at the end of December 2008. E-Business Suite users should have switched from Oracle JInitiator to the native Java JRE plug-in at that time. JRE 1.7 is certified with E-Business Suite 11i, 12.0, and 12.1. The Oracle JInitiator download file (JINITDOWNLOAD.HTM) is the template HTML file that allows your users to download the Oracle JInitiator file. To customize the Oracle JInitiator download file: Open the JINITDOWNLOAD.HTM file within an HTML or text editor. Modify the text as desired. Save your changes. B.2.5.4 Making Oracle JInitiator.

When the download finishes you can install Oracle JInitiator by locating the file using the Windows Explorer and double-clicking on it to start the installation process.

It is therefore certified for use against all versions from 4.7.x onwards. Currently we test Oracle JInitiator on Netscape 4.78 and will continue to install and test against the latest version of Netscape 4.7.x .
